Mechbase
The Arpedon condition monitoring system. Maintnode watches the assets that never sleep, WearDC goes on the route with the technician, and the Mechbase app and Mechbase web turn both into one health state per machine, with the data behind it.
Two ways in. One record.
Every asset is monitored two ways. Maintnode, permanently installed, streams vibration, temperature and process values continuously. Technicians walk scheduled routes with WearDC and the Mechbase app, capturing readings, photos and non-conformities offline.
Both attach to the same asset. Both move the same health state. Both land in the same dated activity log, so a waveform from the night shift and an inspection note from the morning form one record.
How the pieces fit
Fixed sensors and PLCs feed Maintnode. Routes feed WearDC through the Mechbase app. Everything meets in Mechbase web, and leaves it as a work order.

Maintnode
Fixed · Continuous · 24/7
The edge node for assets that never sleep: crushers, compressors, critical pumps, electrical panels. Permanently installed, talks to sensors, your PLCs and power analyzers, streams to Mechbase. The only site requirements are power and a network connection.
- Sensor agnostic
- IEPE accelerometers, ultrasound, 0-10 V and 4-20 mA: pressure, temperature, speed, current. One node, every modality.
- Talks to your line
- Modbus RTU/TCP and OPC-UA. PLCs, power analyzers, automations. Measurement and process data side by side, so operating hours and load context arrive with the vibration.
- Streams to Mechbase
- Measurements queue on the device, atomic local writes, background upload. Network drops never lose a measurement.
- Auto work orders
- Breach a limit and a work order fires automatically into your CMMS, ERP or business analytics.
WearDC
Portable · Route-based
For assets you walk to. The technician opens the route in the Mechbase app, scans the QR on the machine, follows on-screen photos and prompts. Vibration, ultrasound, thermography and visual inspections, captured cleanly enough that anyone can take them.
- Many modalities, one device
- Vibration, ultrasound, current, temperature, speed and any 0-10 V or 4-20 mA sensor. Plus FLIR thermography and optical inspection in the same route. The app tells you which sensors the route needs, so you carry only those.
- Routes anyone can run
- Photos, drawings and step-by-step prompts on the phone. New technicians take valid measurements from day one, and every reading lands on the same measurement point as the fixed sensors.
Mechbase app
iOS · Android · Offline-first
Most inspection software records what someone typed. The Mechbase app captures live instrument data. Native iOS and Android, offline-first: routes run with no connectivity and sync on reconnection. It drives WearDC, pairs a FLIR camera for live thermal imaging with automatic hotspot detection, or a Bluetooth accelerometer for a full vibration signature at the machine. Every capture attaches to the same measurement points and trends as the fixed sensors.

Mechbase web
Web · Integrations
One health state per asset. Computed, not assigned.
Every asset sits in one of four health states. Mechbase computes the state from measurements and inspections, then timestamps every change. You never set one by hand, so the Critical count is a live work list, and every figure traces back to a dated reading.
Within normal limits.
Early deviation. Review.
Degrading. Schedule work.
Immediate action.
Needs Attention is the prioritised work list.
Recent activity is the dated record of every state change.
What the platform does with the data
Measurement analysis
Vibration, ultrasound, current, voltage and pressure, each processed for the fault signatures that matter, not just a threshold check. Every reading keeps the full signal: waveform, spectrum, envelope and the standard scalars (RMS, crest factor, peak-to-peak, true peak), and the raw data is available to export for your own analysis.
Usage and performance
Measure how equipment runs and capture its true operating hours, alongside the condition data rather than in a separate tool.
Events up close
Review exactly what the machine did on either side of an alarm, reading by reading, with every timestamp intact.
Act on what you find
A breach automatically raises a non-conformity against the equipment, with the triggering readings attached, so each decision is backed by data rather than guesswork.
Into your CMMS
Your team keeps the systems it already uses. Mechbase syncs to your CMMS in the background, so condition findings become work orders where planning already happens.
From site health down to the waveform
The hierarchy is five levels: Installation, Section, Zone, Asset, Measurement point. Drill from whole-site health to the individual point that moved an asset, the trend behind the change, and the raw waveform behind any reading.
The asset and its health.
Its measurement points.
A point, its readings and trend.
Alarms that learn the machine
On a machine whose speed and load vary, a single vibration limit cannot tell a faster run from a fault. Raise it to stop the nuisance trips and you go blind to the early ones.
Mechbase learns each machine's normal operating modes from its own healthy data, keyed on shaft frequency, then builds a per-peak limit envelope for every mode that follows the shape of the healthy spectrum.
It watches the shape, not just the level. When one band rises, a bearing or gear-mesh frequency lifting while the rest of the spectrum holds, it raises an early flag well before the overall velocity reaches a conventional alarm. The frequency that breached points at the likely cause: bearing races, imbalance at running speed, looseness as a run-speed series.
Detection, with a head start on diagnosis.
A narrowband peak breaches its learned baseline and raises an early status, weeks before the overall velocity climbs into the alarm bands.
Integrates with what you already run
Mechbase exposes a REST API. A limit breach pushes a work order into your CMMS or ERP automatically. It ingests Modbus and OPC-UA and publishes over MQTT, integrating with your existing systems rather than adding another data silo.

Caught before it failed
The evidence is in the dates. One asset, one trail read straight from the activity log, with no edits and no hindsight.
Built on twenty years inside industrial plants, running today across power, oil and gas, food and beverage, heavy industry, recycling and maritime.

Every asset carries a live health state, computed from the data and the route, with the trail that got it there. That is the difference between planning the fix and reacting to the failure.
